Life Update and HEAT

So the other day I wrote about our carport being inspected to possibly be replaced through our insurance. So far it looks like we will be able to cover the damage that was caused by snow and high winds. Unfortunately the work that needs to be done is WAY more then expected. The contractors all stated that IF they were able to get approved, they would need to remove a large portion of our driveway, due to the heating system and then replace the carport entirely. So what was a simple “replacement” turned into a whole lot of work.

NEEDLESS to say this is going to make the estimate for replacement EXPENSIVE. SO I now wonder if the insurance company will allow for this to happen…. I guess we will have to wait and see.

ON other news, the weather has been crazy hot. The dogs, my brother and I are MELTING. Luckily our dad bought a small kiddy pool that the dogs can play in during the day, that mixed with a mist spray from the water hose makes it manageable. But due to the heat, we’ve kept our outings only to night as we don’t want the dogs suffering. I think a air conditioner may be in the future.

Luckily and I pray that it stays, tonight is windy. And it feels GOOD.
