Carport Insurance

Today we have a special guest coming to our house, our INSURANCE agent. Over the Winter and parts of the Spring our carport roof was damaged. Partly due to the weight of the snow, which caused cracks and breaks. And finished off by the high gusts of wind that were coming often during the summer.

As it currently stands about half of our carport roof is gone.

We were debating weather or not to even attempt to file a claim but our agent insisted they at least look at it to see if they can get us something to repair or replace it. In his words “thats what you have insurance for”.

So here I am today waiting for them to arrive so that we can see what can be done.

It would be amazing to have a new roof, and perhaps a little wider one. But lets not count the chickens before the eggs hatch.

Over the course of the Winter I realized how important the carport was. Watching a lot of our neighbors having to scrap their car roofs and hoods of their car made me realize it was necessary to have the car covered to save us time and energy.

So here is hoping to a good meeting and perhaps a new carport area!

Until the next one
