Dads Last FULL Day in Hokkaido

The day has finally come where it is our fathers last full day in Hokkaido. He arrived in Hokkaido on June 13, 2023 and leaves July 6, 2023. In the grand scheme of things; he’s been here 23 days and it’s been nice. I’m so happy to have him and although I wish our mom could have stayed as long; it is. nice to know our dad is able too.

He’s a very easy to please person. Simple snacks and ramen is all he really needs and is normally okay to do whatever we want. Last night after we ate some ramen we walked and FAR. I wanted to show him the Nikka sign in Sapporo which to me is like the area closest to “Times Square” or like “Shibuya Crossing”.

TODAY we’re going to lunch with our cousin and then finish some shopping that needs to be done for our nieces. Then it’s home and finding dinner somewhere…. No idea where.

Tomorrow morning we will be leaving the home around 11 or so to head to Chitose Airport. It will be a bittersweet moment but one I know we will have more of as time progresses.
I just have to look forward to the next visit in October!

Overall I hope that when our mom reaches the age of retirement; she takes longer periods of time and stays here with us in longer chunks. Maybe its selfish but I really really enjoy the family being here.

It’s crazy to think of how much of Japan we got to see this trip. I’m so glad we took the road trip we did and I’m so thankful for our dad being willing to stay home and watch the dogs.

In any case I have to get ready for the day but thats whats up. Spending the last full day with our dad and trying to make as many memories as possible!

Until the next one!
