The Game Plan!

So today is Tuesday July 4, 2023 (Happy Independence Day America in Japan). Our dad’s second to last day here in Hokkaido, and honestly i’m a little sad that his time in Japan is coming to an end. It is of course with the knowledge he is coming back soon, nevertheless its still sad.

Today’s game plan is as follows! We’re going to go to Shiroikoibito, a famous cookie and chocolate factory and store in Sapporo. Our mom needs a few boxes for her friends and coworkers, so we have been tasked to retrieve. It’s also a really amazing place to get lunch and great ice cream.

After that we will be headed home to rest a little.

Later tonight we will be heading back into Sapporo to get some ramen! It’s our dads favorite and since we probably won’t have much time tomorrow to get a lot done, it’s best we do it tonight.

It always blows my mind to realize how fast three weeks have passed. Our parents arrived on June 13 and like that it was June 29 when our mom left, where did the days go? And now it’s almost July 6 when our dad leaves. I guess it truly is a thing where when you’re having fun, time flies.

I would ideally like our dad to see the Nikka Sign at night as it’s almost a “time square” kind of feel but I’m not sure if he can make the hike. From where we normally park our car to the sign, it’s about a mile. Perhaps he will be open to the idea since it’s in my opinion a must see.

In any case we shall see how motivated he is when tonight comes.
