Vloggers who Complain

As most of you know we aspire to be some type of social media presence as a form of business, thus the social media accounts and of course the website and blogs. We enjoy sharing our experiences with everyone but try as much as possible to keep it on the positive spectrum.

I’ve noticed that a lot of J-Vloggers or people sharing their lives in Japan tend to really only complain about their lives here and how its “difficult”. And perhaps its good for them to do so as there is a lot of engagement on their accounts in the form of views and of course corresponding comments.

But is that fair?

I ask myself this all the time, as a lot of my feeds are filled with some type of negativity about Japan, of course don’t get me wrong I do see some good things but a lot of the people living here tend to use the negative as a way to boost interest.

So let me start off by stating that Japan is honestly far from perfect and there are a lot of things that can be better but that can be said about ANY place in the world. For the most part Japan is good, there are challenges to overcome but it’s a good place to call home.

I am truly grateful to be where I am today and couldn’t have wished for things to be different.

There were times where it was challenging for us but I have to say that between my brother and I we made it work. It takes time, it takes patience and a true understanding that you are not home.

I think it is important to have contrast in everything you are doing in life. But don’t use it to push your claim to fame.

But that’s just my two cents about the industry.

Until the next one.
