Upcoming Visit

Well some time has gone by since our mom and dad both visited us together in Japan, the last trip was in July of 2022 and in all honesty it was a trip that was a blessing for us but I’m sure incredibly stressful for them.

Our mother has visited us here in Hokkaido since the move, she helped us get settled and had Thanksgiving here. Our dad has never been to Hokkaido yet, so this is a “big” trip for him.

My brother has been putting together a list of places that he think they will enjoy so our itinerary is “full” if they want it. But our mother tends to stick to a more fluid schedule and finding things as she goes.

This is also the first time in I think two years that we will be with our dad during fathers day. We have to plan something special since it overlaps. Our mothers birthday is also falling in the same period but we have a bbq scheduled with our family.

Another big thing were doing while our parents are here is a trip to Aomori and to Saitama. Our dad has volunteered to babysit the puppies allowing my brother, mother and I to drive down to Aomori (our mom has always wanted to go) and Saitama. We plan on spending a few nights in Saitama to catch up with friends and look at our old destroyed house.

I’m incredibly excited for this visit. It’s really nice to have our parents here. While in Hawaii a good part of it we lived with them so being so far away sometimes feels weird.

IN any case, expect more blog updates as we start our journey with our parents around Hokkaido and Honshu!
