The FARM

So in a lot of our Podcast and videos I talk about wanting a farm for our dogs and in all honesty I really mean it. I want them to have a space they can run around, free to do what they want (as long as its not naughty) and in a safe place we control. So the farm is and will always be my primary goal for our fur family. But recently after talking to our parents and discussing with friends and now my brother, it looks like we may be pursuing that a lot sooner.

It seems one of their friends in our old town of Tokigawa has a farm area that he is interested in selling. Its about 3 acres which is a lot of land but an amount we think we can handle. So the goal now is to save enough, work as hard as we can and try our best to come to terms and buy the property.

I’ve also been thinking a lot and IF we are lucky enough to buy this farm or any farm in the area then we’re going to try our best to make it a “off grid” type of farm. The current location has both county provided water and access to a Spring. And of course has electricity and internet. IF we are able to get this I would still keep access to the county provided utilities but supplement it with a off-grid system.

In Honshu (where Saitama is), the summers are HOT. And i’d like to install an ac unit so that we as well as any guest and the doggos can be comfortable. BUT I also don’t want to pay the cost associated with running cooling system. As our dad is a electrical contractor it only makes sense for us to try to create an off grid system to provide us power to offset costs as well as energy during disasters.

Also with there being SPRING water access I think it’d be a cool idea to water crops, boil and use the water that is provided directly from nature. The goal and trend would be to provide ourselves with a cleaner, healthier and more natural lifestyle.

Please don’t get me wrong, I am very much a child of consumerism but I think having some balance in life would be great. I think now in life we need to work hard to off set rising costs and honestly provide ourselves opportunities to live life, as stress free as possible.

So every day we work, we try our best to provide the best life we can for ourselves, our family and our fur babies. Heres hoping that we get to our goal soon, and that we can share our experiences, thoughts and growth with you all.
