End of Summer

The time has come (at least I really hope so) that summer is ending and fall is starting. The weather has been sunny still but the biggest difference is the temperature. It’s no longer a melt your face off kind of heat. It’s very comfortable and dare I saw it, even somewhat “cold” sometimes. The breeze also has changed from what felt like an OVEN to something nice and refreshing.

Today we went to Maruyama Koen to walk around the park. It was a beautiful day and I really enjoyed myself.
It was nice to see the trees before the fall really takes place. There are signs its coming as some of the leaves were starting to change to those beautiful fall colors that everyone loves so much.

This has been the first full year we’ve spent in Hokkaido and the experiences have left me happy, fulfilled and perhaps a little more knowledgeable. I’ve never lived through the seasons so this was a big first. I really can’t wait till the winter starts again as I love the snow, but need to do so much more preparations.

As like most years our parents are coming before the winter falls to help us get ready and do some sightseeing. It’s one of my favorite parts of the year. It’s really nice to have them in our home.

Our puppies have been getting BIG. They’re almost the size of their mom now and some of them have no passed that. Caring for them has taken so much of our time but they are getting to the point of being a little more independent and reliable.

It honestly has been a joy to care for them all these months and watching them grow.

Last winter our carport was damaged due to the snow and we have a quote going in to repair it but the insurance has yet to approve it. I’m not sure if it’ll happen in time for the winter so it looks like i’ll have to start making due with what we have available in regards to “repair”.

In any case i’ll update everyone a little more soon, just wanted to pop in and say how things were going and how the world around us looks at the current moment!

Until the next one.
