A MILLION Dreams

I like to consider myself a “dreamer”. I have many goals, aspirations, etc whatever you call them. Growing up, I always had my head in the clouds, dreaming of not a “better” life but to have a life filled with abundance and happiness. Through my youthful years, a lot of people would point out the fact that I was this way. Sometimes almost telling me to be more realistic.

My grandmother was someone who never let me feel like that. She always told me that the world needed dreamers and that following our heart is one of the most important things you can do. She kept this “mantra” all of her life and every moment I spent with her she reminded me to live my life to the fullest.

One day while scrolling through YouTube I came across the song “A million dreams” and honestly it hit home. I instantly fell in love with it and made me feel happy. It was in essence someone understanding how I feel. Granted it was from a movie but still, it was something that made DREAMING okay.

One of the last conversations I had with my grandma was about my goals in life. And its one that I’ll always remember, and what I’m willing to share is the fact that she reiterated the fact that I needed to continue dreaming. Don’t let others sway me from what makes me happy. And that sometimes going against the “norm” was necessary.

I promised myself after she passed that I would remind myself to live like this. To continue to dream, continue to be happy and to live the life I have to the fullest extent possible.

So my message to you today; to those of you willing to listen. DREAM. Do what it takes to make yourself happy. Find a way to live the best life you can. And do not forget to smile.

Until the next one.
