Spring Cleaning

I’m living in my thirties now and I would say that I have been exposed to a lot of things in life.  But I am not immune to learning something every day.  Even when then things I’ve learned is something I’ve known for so long.

Through the course of the winter I found that keeping up with household chores, even things as simple as laundry was so much more difficult due to the slow drying of things.  Also mopping, etc has been almost pointless as it would not have time to truly dry, unless of course we used heating.

So this brings me to TODAY.

I’ve finally understood what it means to “SPRING CLEAN”.  Yes I’m in my thirties but have never really understood the meaning of spring cleaning.  I thought it was just a saying all this time but now I know.

Today was my first official SPRING CLEANING day.   It was a good feeling to have things cleaned and dried in the same day.  Something I have personally a little annoyed with through winter (I am planning on doing something to remedy this, for the upcoming winter).

I was able to wash our rugs, the puppies towels, some of their bedding and deep clean their room.  It was something I kept pushing off and just surface cleaning until today.   It was also warm enough to air out the entire house.

Maybe this is something foolish to be happy about, but I am.

A clean house is so important to me and having 10 dogs makes that challenging.  Coupled with slow drying, in abilities to use water hoses etc, it just was hard.

But we have adapted, we have evolved!  We are now ready for next year!

In any case, I thought it was funny that I’ve just learned this.  It was a reminder to me, that even now, I can still learn something new.
