Household Chores
Our father is coming to Japan shortly, I believe he arrives in Tokyo on November 19. So that means I have this weekend to clean and prepare his area for him to stay in. While most of the house is relatively clean and definitely to a standard that he could be happy with, I have to do a deep clean as we have guests coming to the house for Thanksgiving. Our mother is joining us in Japan about a week after our dad arrives.
The current plan is for our parents and their friends to stay in Hokkaido for a few days then my brother and I will be traveling to Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima and Tokyo with them. While Hiroshima will be the first visit for most of us, the rest is a repeat of the past.
While most of the tourist things we ‘need’ to see are on repeat, it’s nice to find some new things here and there when we get to someplace we have been already. So in a way the visits while repetitive have some silver linings in the sense of discovery.
I do love the fact that we have a car when we travel to these places, because when we do get too bored of the same old same old we can get in the car and discover what else the area has to offer. And I personally believe you can get a lot more done controlling your own transportation schedule.
It’s a nice feeling to know that soon our family will be here to spend time with one another and travel.
Another thank you goes out to our dad who will be taking care of the dogs for us when we are gone. But he will definitely be able to spend time with us as a family when we’re in Hokkaido.
In any case I am looking forward to the adventures we’re about to have!
